
Jennifer has always wanted to become a multitasking superstar. Her passion was for a wide range music styles as a kid, including Afro-Caribbean beats, such as merengue, salsa, and bachata. Later on, as an adult her favorite genres were popular pop, R&B along with hip-hop. Although she loved movies, the music industry fascinated her as well. West Side Story (1961) was the Rita Moreno musical that greatly influenced her is also her biggest source of inspiration. At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Jennifer was also entertainer and Catholic schoolgirl, attended for eight years of Holy Family Catholic Middle School in The Bronx. After a four-year stay in the Bronx, she graduated from Preston High School, an all-girls preparatory school. While at high school, Jennifer was an amazing athlete, playing tennis and track. It was the Castle Hill neighbourhood was her place of residence for the bulk of her adult life. At 18, Jennifer moved out of her parents' home. Lopez was a lawyer at the period and also took dance classes at night.
